Retek utca is in District II parking zone B: on working days from 8:30 to 20:00 it costs HUF 600 an hour, for up to 3 hours (BKK zone table, 30 June 2026). You pay by phone only. The nearest garage, under Mammut, is a 2-minute walk.

Which zone is Retek utca in?

Annex 1 of the district decree defines zone 2 (marked “B” on the signs) as part of the area bounded by Széll Kálmán tér, Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor and Margit körút, including the boundary roads. Besides Retek utca it covers Lövőház utca, Fény utca, Káplár utca, Kis Rókus utca, Keleti Károly utca and Varsányi Irén utca.

Margit körút, Széna tér and Csalogány utca lie on the border between zone 1 and zone 2, so the sign on the spot decides. The southern part of Széll Kálmán tér belongs to District I, which has its own rules.

How much does it cost, and how long can you stay?

The BKK zone table issued on 30 June 2026 gives these figures for District II’s three zones:

Zone Paid on working days Hourly fee Maximum stay
A (0201) 8:30-22:00 HUF 800 3 hours
B (0202), including Retek utca 8:30-20:00 HUF 600 3 hours
C (0203) 8:30-18:00 HUF 400 3 hours

For a 60-minute first consultation, allow about 1.5 hours including waiting, which comes to HUF 900. Session lengths are covered in the prices article. Fees are set by the district and BKK, not by MozgásKlinika, and may change.

How do you pay since July 2026?

According to BKK, Budapest’s parking machines were withdrawn from 1 July 2026; the fee is now paid by mobile app, SMS or phone call. If you have no smartphone, paying by call works too; details and the list of providers are on BKK’s parking page. A QR code on the zone signs also helps.

Which garage is closest?

Place Entrance Open Fee Walk to the clinic
Mammut garage Lövőház utca 24 hours HUF 600 per hour or part hour (Mammut, October 2026) about 160 m, 2 min
Millenáris and Széllkapu underground garage (about 770 spaces) Kis Rókus utca 24 hours on the operator’s site; we could not confirm the 2026 fee about 590 m, 8 min

According to Mammut, the first hour is free with a disabled parking card. Millenáris says its garage has spaces reserved for disabled drivers and electric car chargers. Garages have no 3-hour limit, so for longer errands they are the easier choice.

Where are the disabled spaces on the street?

According to OpenStreetMap, the nearest are on Csalogány utca (about 380 metres away) and around Marczibányi tér (400-500 metres). These are map data; the sign on the spot decides. The clinic has not published any information about parking of its own.

Is Park and Ride worth it?

If you are coming from the west, yes. According to Budapest Közút, Őrmező P1 has 485 spaces and is open day and night: HUF 500 per visit between 6:00 and 22:00, HUF 300 an hour at night, and the machine takes cash and cards. From there bus 139 takes about 23 minutes to the clinic. From Hűvösvölgy P+R, tram 56A takes about 26 minutes (BKK FUTÁR, weekday departure at 10:00); we could not confirm its fee.

Public transport routes are in this article, and travel times for visitors arriving from out of town or from a hotel are here. If you want to wait somewhere before treatment, the shops and parks nearby are listed here.

The clinic’s address is 1024 Budapest, Retek utca 26. The phone number and map are on the contact page.

If you are going to the Pasarét clinic, this article covers parking around Házmán utca.
