Within five minutes’ walk of the Retek utca clinic you reach the Fény utca market, both Mammut buildings, several grocery shops and the Széll Kálmán tér metro; Millenáris park is 6 to 7 minutes away. Useful if you arrive early or want to run errands after treatment.
We measured distances along walking routes from OpenStreetMap data in October 2026, with walking time at 75 metres per minute. The clinic’s address is 1024 Budapest, Retek utca 26.
What is within five minutes?

Where can you wait if you arrive early?
If you are half an hour early, Mammut and the market are the obvious choices: they are covered, have seating, and you are back in two or three minutes. In good weather Millenáris park is quieter. The clinic’s waiting area can be used during opening hours, but if you arrive very early, let reception know. The clinic is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 20:00.
What should you know about the Fény utca market?
It is the nearest place to shop, about 180 metres from the clinic: vegetables, fruit, meat and bakery goods in one place, next to Mammut. If you carry shopping after treatment, remember what the physiotherapist said about load: split heavy bags between both hands, and do not carry them on the side of a fresh complaint.
Why do many people still call it Moszkva tér?
Because the square was called Moszkva tér for a long time, and the name lives on in everyday speech. If someone suggests meeting “at Moszkva”, they mean Széll Kálmán tér. Today it has the M2 metro stop, the terminus of several tram lines and the starting point of many Buda bus routes.
What used to stand where Millenáris is?
Millenáris was built on the former Ganz factory site, and several of the old factory halls were kept (millenaris.hu). Today it holds a park, exhibition and event spaces, an open-air stage and an underground garage; Széllkapu park is the part facing Széll Kálmán tér.
What is a little further away?
- Városmajor Farmers’ Market: about 490 metres, 7 minutes.
- Városmajor park: about 640 metres, 8 minutes.
- Castle District, Bécsi kapu tér: about 900 metres, 12 minutes, uphill.
- Fisherman’s Bastion: about 1.4 kilometres, 19 minutes.
The way up to the Castle District is steep; if your knee or lower back is still being treated, bus 16 or 16A from Széll Kálmán tér is gentler.
