The Retek utca clinic next to Mammut is about 15 minutes from the city centre and about 50 minutes from the airport by public transport, 4 minutes on foot from the Széll Kálmán tér M2 stop. Déli station is one metro stop away; a direct tram runs from Nyugati.
The times below come from the BKK FUTÁR journey planner for a weekday departure at 10:00 (checked in October 2026), including walking at both ends. They change with the time of day, timetables and works, so check the planner before you set off.
How do I get there from the airport?
Take the 100E airport bus to Astoria, change to the M2 metro towards Déli pályaudvar and get off at Széll Kálmán tér. Door to door this took about 50 minutes in the planner. The 100E needs a separate ticket; BKK lists the options.
A taxi covers the roughly 25 km in about 36 minutes without traffic. Under the official tariff from 1 August 2026 (HUF 2,100 base fee from the airport and HUF 521 per km, plus HUF 130 per minute of waiting) that is about HUF 15,000. Taxi fares are set by the city, not by MozgásKlinika.
How long does it take from the railway and coach stations?
| From | Route | Time (weekday, 10:00) |
|---|---|---|
| Déli pályaudvar | M2, one stop | about 11 min |
| Nyugati pályaudvar | tram 4 or 6 | about 17 min |
| Keleti pályaudvar | M2, no change | about 20 min |
| Kelenföld | bus 139 | about 27 min |
| Népliget coach station | M3, then M2 at Deák Ferenc tér | about 36 min |
With a heavy suitcase, the metro is simplest from Déli and Keleti because there is no change. From Nyugati the tram runs at street level, so you avoid the metro escalators.
And from the main hotel areas?
- City centre (Deák Ferenc tér, Vörösmarty tér): M2 to Széll Kálmán tér, about 15 to 18 minutes.
- Around Nyugati and the Grand Boulevard: tram 4 or 6, about 17 minutes.
- Castle District: bus 16A from Szentháromság tér to Széll Kálmán tér, about 13 minutes.
From the centre a taxi costs roughly HUF 3,000 to 5,000 at the official tariff (HUF 1,300 base fee and HUF 521 per km), depending on the start point and the traffic. We do not recommend or rank any hotel.
What should you know before booking if you do not live in Budapest?
- You can book on the clinic’s Salonic page or by phone; the online booking pages are in Hungarian, and the number is on the contact page.
- Treatment is available in Hungarian or English.
- If you are only in the city for a few days, tell the physiotherapist: after the first session you can ask for a home programme to continue once you are back home.
- The cancellation rules are explained in this article, which matters if your travel plans slip.
